The "Sweet science," of boxing for you non-fighters, has taken the fitness world by storm. That's good and bad. The good is that this ancient sport provides a fantastic workout. The bad is that whenever an activity is adapted for the general public, it can become so watered down that the integrity of the original sport gets lost. The authors of this book have thankfully managed to avoid that. This isn't "Boxercise".  This is an introduction to the kind of training real boxers do when they prepare for fights. The six day workout program is a nice balance of weights, cardio and sports-specific drills. The prose is clear and concise.
